Charleigh Danks is a Charleston resident who joined the Moultrie Counseling team in July 2022. Charleigh obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Eastern Illinois University. Prior to joining our team, Charleigh spent time as a Substance Use Disorder Counselor and worked in the rewarding field of social work.
In her free time, Charleigh loves to spend time with her two dogs (and yes, she is that girl who puts pajama's on her dogs). Charleigh also loves to spend time with those who are closest to her. She enjoys spending time out in nature and watching Harry Potter. Charleigh enjoys working with teenagers and young adults, however, she truly loves working with clients of all ages. Charleigh utilizes Dialectical Behavioral Therapy as a primary theoretical approach. One of Charleigh’s favorite coping tools is journaling. Through the healing practice of journaling, individuals have the ability to process their emotions out without doing harm to one’s self or others. To create authentic connection with clients, Charleigh implements tools and skills that she practices in her personal life. Charleigh’s Favorite Quotes: “Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times if one only remembers to turn on the light.” -Albus Dumbledore “Don’t forget to remember who you are and where you came from.” -Charleigh’s late grandmother |
