Tabitha McMichael,
MA, LCPC, LPHA, CCTP, CSTS
Therapist
Tabitha is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and a Certified Shame-Informed treatment specialist (CSTS). She is trained in Psychological First Aid, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Hope Focused Couples Counseling.

She has 15 years in the human services field. Tabitha started her career working outpatient substance abuse treatment before joining the Moultrie Counseling team in 2015.

Tabitha primarily works with adults. She has experience counseling those with depression, anxiety, phobias, post-traumatic stress disorder, thoughts of suicide, relationship issues, divorce, grief, issues related to aging, and LGBTQ+ concerns.

Working collaboratively with clients, Tabitha has an eclectic approach to counseling, primarily blending person-centered therapy with strengths-based cognitive behavioral counseling. This means she believes clients are the experts on their own lives and hold the best answers within themselves. She aids clients in finding these answers by partnering with them to remove the barriers to healing. When necessary, she focuses on belief patterns that hinder clients from reaching their desired goals. Clients' strengths and preferences are central to Tabitha's approach.
