Christy is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a bachelor's degree in Psychology from St. Mary of the Woods College in Terre Haute, Indiana. She obtained her Master of Science in Severe Mental Health specialty at Capella University in Minnesota. She interned at St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur, IL, and has been employed at Moultrie County Counseling Center since her graduation magna cum laude in 2009.
Christy specializes in post-traumatic stress disorder and personality disorders.
She uses Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Logotherapy and is certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy as primary theoretical formats in practice.
Christy is married with two adult children. She lives in rural Sullivan on her farm with her three dogs, three cats, and a flock of ducks.
